Nedis CAT6 Network Cable | RJ45 Male | U/UTP | 20.0 M | Round Grey

Nedis CAT6 Network Cable | RJ45 Male | U/UTP | 20.0 M | Round Grey | A long cable run for a wired network connection

The defining detail of this Nedis network cable is its 20.0-metre length: it’s suited to a wired connection where the devices aren’t close together. If you need to route a cable across a room or along a longer path, that extra reach can be more helpful than a short lead. It’s a CAT6 cable with RJ45 male connectors and U/UTP construction, in a round grey design. The practical fit is straightforward: someone setting up a network connection who needs a longer cable run and wants these connector and cable types. Its main strength is the combination of a clearly stated length and a familiar RJ45 connection. There’s no need to read more into it than that; the title gives the useful details for deciding whether this cable suits the run you have in mind.

Planning the cable route

Measure the path the cable will actually take, rather than the straight-line distance between the two ends. A route may need to follow a wall, pass around furniture or travel up and down between connection points, and those bends add length. Leave enough slack at each end to make the connections without pulling the cable tight. It’s also worth thinking about where the cable will sit once it’s in place: a tidy route is easier to live with and less likely to get caught underfoot. These are simple checks, but they can save a second trip to sort out a run that came up short. Plan the path first, then compare its length with the cable’s stated measurement.
