Nedis CAT7-CABLE S/FTP RJ45 RJ45 2.0 M Round LSZH Grey

Nedis CAT7-CABLE S/FTP RJ45 RJ45 2.0 M Round LSZH Grey | A short, shielded Ethernet cable

The defining choice here is the 2.0-metre length: it gives you a short link between nearby devices without leaving a long cable run to manage. This Nedis CAT7 cable is for a wired connection between equipment with RJ45 sockets, such as a router and a nearby device. Its round, grey cable has S/FTP shielding and a low-smoke, zero-halogen (LSZH) designation. Those details make it a practical option when you want a clearly specified cable for a fixed connection at home or at work. The connectors are RJ45 at both ends, so there’s no different plug type to account for. One honest point: 2 metres is best suited to devices that sit fairly close together; measure the route, including any turns, before choosing a cable length.

What the markings tell you

CAT7 identifies the cable category, while S/FTP describes its shielding: a braided screen around the cable and foil shielding around the individual twisted pairs. LSZH refers to the cable’s low-smoke, zero-halogen material designation. These labels help you distinguish this cable by category, construction and material, rather than relying on colour alone. The grey finish may also make it easier to pick out among cables in a setup. If you’re replacing an existing lead, the main practical checks are that the connection uses RJ45 sockets and that this 2.0-metre length suits the route. The cable is round, so allow for its path around nearby equipment when estimating the distance.
