Nedis USB 2.0-CABLE A M-A F 2.0m BK

Nedis USB 2.0 A Male to A Female Cable, 2m, Black | Adds reach to a USB-A connection

Without an extension, the device and the USB cable have to meet wherever the cable happens to reach. This Nedis USB 2.0 cable gives you a two-metre connection with a USB-A male plug at one end and a USB-A female socket at the other. It’s for a setup where you need that particular plug-to-socket arrangement and some extra distance between connections. The black finish keeps the cable visually low-key alongside other black leads and equipment. Its most useful quality is straightforward: it provides an extension in a clearly defined length and connector format, rather than asking you to rearrange the whole setup around a short cable. Before buying, match the ends to the connections you need; this is specifically an A male to A female cable. It’s a simple accessory, and the connector format is the detail that matters most.

Choosing the right connection

Look at the two connection points in your setup first. The male end is the plug; it goes into a matching USB-A socket. The female end is the socket, ready to accept a matching USB-A plug. That layout makes the cable an extension lead, rather than a cable with a different connector at each end. The stated length is two metres, so consider the route the cable will take between those points, not just the straight-line gap. Allow for any turns around a desk or shelf when judging whether that reach suits your setup. USB 2.0 is part of the product name, so it’s also worth matching that designation to the cable you’re looking to replace or extend. If the connector arrangement and length fit your need, this Nedis cable keeps the choice uncomplicated.
