Nitze Rubberized Alu Zijhandgreep 3/8 & ARRI Loc Pins (PA29E)
Nitze Rubberized Aluminum Side Handle 3/8 & ARRI Loc Pins (PA29E) | A dedicated side grip for tripod setups
Without a side handle, you’re left holding a camera rig by its body or another part of the setup. The Nitze PA29E gives you a separate grip point: a rubberized aluminum side handle made as a tripod accessory. It’s suited to operators who want a more deliberate way to hold and position a supported camera rig, especially when the rig has a matching 3/8 connection and ARRI locating-pin arrangement. The rubberized contact surface is a practical touch for a handle you’ll hold directly, while the aluminum construction keeps the product’s design focused on a solid grip point. Its best use is straightforward: add a side handle to a compatible setup so your hand has a place to hold while positioning the rig. It’s a specific accessory rather than a complete support solution, so it makes most sense when the rest of your setup is already in place.
Specialist Note
“Can I add a side grip to my tripod setup with the PA29E?” Yes, provided your setup has the matching 3/8 connection and ARRI locating pins. I’d consider it when you want a dedicated grip for positioning a supported camera rig, or a clear place to hold it while moving between nearby setups. The rubberized surface matters because it’s the part your hand meets; it gives you a grippy contact area rather than bare aluminum. The aluminum handle keeps the construction straightforward and purposeful. One thing to keep in mind: this is a handle, not a tripod head or a support system on its own. For a rig that already has the right mounting interface, it’s a focused way to add a side grip.
