Radius Windcover For Rycote Supershield Small
Radius Windcover For Rycote Supershield Small | A simple buffer inside your bag
Loose gear shifting around in a larger bag can pick up scratches and bumps. The Radius Windcover For Rycote Supershield Small is a protective pouch for keeping the named Rycote Supershield Small separate from that everyday knocks-and-rubs environment. It suits sound recordists and camera crews who pack their Supershield inside a larger kit bag and want a dedicated layer around it. Its strength is straightforward: it gives the item its own place in your bag, rather than leaving it loose among other equipment. That makes packing and unpacking more orderly, too. Think of it as protection for storage and transport inside your main bag, not as a replacement for the bag itself. If you regularly move your kit between locations, this is a practical way to keep the Supershield together and reduce the chance of surface marks or minor bumps from nearby gear.
For a tidier pack
Give the Supershield a consistent place in your kit: put it in the pouch before packing the larger bag, then return it there after use. That simple routine keeps this piece of gear from being left loose among the rest of your equipment. It’s a focused accessory, with a clear job rather than a collection of extra features.
Specialist Note
For a two-stage pack-up, I’d put the Rycote Supershield Small in this pouch first, then place it in the larger bag. The dedicated pouch is useful when the Supershield would otherwise travel loose; it gives you one consistent place to put it. Its protection is aimed at scratches and bumps from being packed with other gear, so I’d think of it as a buffer for bag transport, not as a hard case. This suits anyone who wants to keep the named Supershield together with their kit and make packing a little more orderly. It’s a simple, specific solution, and that’s exactly where its value lies.
