Radius Windcover For Rycote WS5 Windshield
Radius Windcover For Rycote WS5 Windshield | Pouch protection
When your Rycote WS5 windshield travels in a larger camera bag, it can pick up scratches or get knocked against other gear. The Radius Windcover is a protective pouch for the WS5, giving you a simple way to keep it separate and better protected between uses. It suits sound recordists and camera crews who carry this windshield alongside other equipment and want a dedicated place for it in their bag. Its purpose is practical: help guard the windshield against everyday scuffs and bumps during storage and transport. Put the WS5 in the pouch before packing it with your other kit, rather than letting it move loose among harder items. This is a straightforward bit of protection for the times when you’re packing up quickly or moving between locations. It’s intended for bag storage, not as a replacement for careful handling.
Specialist Note
A loose windshield rubbing against the rest of your kit is an easy source of scuffs; this pouch gives your Rycote WS5 its own place in the bag. I’d recommend it to anyone who carries that windshield with other camera or sound equipment and wants to keep the packing simple. Because it’s a protective pouch, it’s well suited to everyday storage where scratches and small knocks are the concern. Slip the WS5 inside before placing it in a larger bag, and it won’t be left loose among your gear. I’d still handle the bag with care: this is a pouch for protection in transit, not a hard case for rough treatment.
