On a busy set, shouted instructions are easily lost once crew members spread out. The Saramonic WiTalk9 SRH is a single-ear wireless headset for Saramonic’s 1.9 GHz DECT WiTalk9 intercom system, with a stated transmission range of at least 500 metres. It works with the WiTalk9-SMH Master headset to expand a system for two to eight people, so a camera operator, sound recordist and production team can stay in contact while moving around a location. The one-ear format leaves the other ear free to hear what’s happening nearby, while hands-free communication means there’s no need to stop work to pick up a separate radio. That’s useful on a film set, during a live production or anywhere a crew needs to coordinate across a large working area. For an existing WiTalk9 setup, the SRH can also join through a wired cascade connection using the WiTalk9-Link adapter or a TRRS cable. That gives you a way to add another headset when a wireless connection isn’t the preferred route.
