Schneider-Kreuznach MPTV 77mm True-Streak® Confetti
Schneider-Kreuznach MPTV 77mm True-Streak® Confetti | A distinctive in-camera color effect
The defining choice here is an effect-led color filter: Schneider-Kreuznach gives the MPTV 77mm True-Streak® Confetti a name that points to a deliberately streaked, colorful look, rather than neutral filtration. It’s for photographers and filmmakers who want to shape the character of a scene in-camera, especially when a creative color treatment is part of the image rather than something to add later. Its strongest use is a considered visual accent: bring it into a setup where color and bright details already matter, and let the Confetti effect contribute to the mood. This isn’t a general-purpose filter for keeping every scene looking natural. It’s a specialist option for people who want a more expressive result and are happy to make that effect part of the composition. The 77mm size gives you a clear reference when selecting it for a lens.
Specialist Note
At dusk, colored shop lights reflect in a dark window, and the scene already has a graphic feel. That’s the kind of setup where the True-Streak® Confetti name makes sense: it signals an intentional streak-and-color treatment, so use it when you want the light to contribute to the look rather than stay plain. The 77mm marking is practical when planning your kit; match that size to the filter-thread marking on the lens you intend to use. I’d steer this toward image-makers who enjoy shaping a distinctive frame in-camera. One honest caveat: it’s an effect filter, so it won’t suit every subject or a restrained, natural-looking result.
