Schneider-Kreuznach MPTV HLYWD BLK Magic 1/4 4x4
Schneider-Kreuznach MPTV HLYWD BLK Magic 1/4 4x4 | A precise filter specification for production workflows
Instead of relying on a general filter description, this Schneider-Kreuznach gives you a specific version and format to work from. It’s a 1/4 4x4 filter, listed in our Polarizing Filter category, and suits photographers or production crews who select filtration by a precise designation. The full name is especially useful when you’re matching a written filter call or keeping a kit organised: you can identify this version without reducing it to a vague label. For a setup where reflections need managing, the polarizing-filter category makes it relevant to work around glass or other reflective surfaces. The practical advantage here is clarity in selection, not a promise of a particular look in every scene. If you’re building a setup around a required filter format and strength, this model gives you those identifiers up front.
Specialist Note
On a filter call sheet, I’d write “1/4, 4x4” before anything else; those two details make it much easier to request the exact version you intend to use. The 1/4 designation helps distinguish this strength from other versions in the same named range, while 4x4 gives you the format to compare with the filter holder in your setup. I’d consider it for a planned production workflow, especially if you’re working around reflective glass and need a polarizing filter in the kit. One sensible check: make sure your holder accepts the 4x4 format. This is a specific, clearly named filter, rather than a general-purpose description.
