Schneider-Kreuznach MPTV True-Streak Clear 3FOR 4x5.65
Schneider-Kreuznach MPTV True-Streak Clear 3FOR 4x5.65 | A clear streak effect for planned shots
The defining choice here is the Clear version of Schneider-Kreuznach’s MPTV True-Streak filter: “True-Streak” names the intended visual effect, while “Clear” identifies this particular version. Its 4x5.65 format suits camera teams planning a specific filter look within a larger-format setup. The 3FOR designation is part of the model name, so keep it with the full product name when noting the filter for a production. This is for shots where a streak effect is part of the visual plan, rather than an incidental detail. It gives you a focused creative option to consider when shaping a frame around light. The appeal is its clearly identified effect and format; it’s a specialist filter, so it makes most sense when that particular look is wanted, not as a general-purpose choice.
Specialist Note
Once the effect is part of your plan, the 4x5.65 size makes this filter straightforward to identify when you’re planning a setup. I’d keep the full 3FOR name on your equipment list, too, so the exact version is clear to everyone on the team. The Clear version suits a shot where you want the True-Streak look without adding a differently named variant to the plan. For a concrete use, compose a bright light source where you want the streak to read, then build the shot around that visual line. It suits crews with a deliberate look in mind; it’s a focused effect, not a general-purpose filter.
