Silicon Power Armor A85B Ext HDD 1TB USB 3.2 Gen 1 (Silver)

Silicon Power Armor A85B Ext HDD 1TB USB 3.2 Gen 1 (Silver) | Keep files together in external storage

Without a separate drive, files tend to stay on the computer you first saved them to. The Silicon Power Armor A85B is an external hard drive for keeping a collection of files in one separate place. It offers 1TB of storage, connects over USB 3.2 Gen 1 and comes in silver. That makes it a straightforward fit if you want to store photo folders, video files or other documents away from your computer’s own storage. It’s especially suited to someone who wants one drive for a sizeable personal archive, rather than a small stick for just a handful of files. There’s no complicated pitch here: it’s a hard drive with a clear storage role. The honest trade-off is that choosing what belongs on it, and keeping those files organised, is still up to you.

A place for a growing archive

An external drive is most helpful when you give it a job. You might use this one to keep completed projects separate from the files you’re currently working on, or to collect folders that have become scattered across your computer. That can make your own filing habits easier to manage, though it won’t organise the files for you. A simple folder structure—by year, project or subject—can make it easier to find something later. Think about what you want to store before you start copying files, and keep the original files until you’re comfortable that your archive is in order. This drive suits a practical, everyday storage need: having a separate place for files you want to keep, without relying on the computer where you first saved them. Its capacity gives you room to gather a substantial collection, while its USB connection keeps the basic setup familiar. No claims about transfer speed or extra protection are needed to explain what it does: it provides external hard-drive storage.
