Silicon Power Jewel J06 64GB USB 3.0 (Deep Blue)

Silicon Power Jewel J06 64GB USB 3.0 (Deep Blue) | Keep everyday files close at hand

When you need to take a set of files with you instead of leaving them on one computer, a USB stick is a straightforward option. The Silicon Power Jewel J06 gives you 64GB of storage in a compact, deep-blue USB stick with a USB 3.0 connection. That capacity suits everyday collections of documents, photos or other files you want to carry or keep together. It’s also a sensible size to set aside for a particular task, such as transferring a folder between computers or keeping a separate copy of important work. The honest point: the title gives us the capacity and connection type, but no performance figures, so I wouldn’t choose it on a promise of a particular transfer speed. If you want a simple, clearly sized storage option, the J06 has the key details right in its name.

A simple way to organise files

A USB stick can help keep a small job’s files in one place, rather than spread across folders or devices. You might use the J06 for a batch of images, paperwork you need to take along, or a temporary handover of files. Those are examples of how you could use its storage, not special functions of the stick. Its 64GB capacity gives you a defined amount of space to plan around; the amount of data that fits will depend on the files themselves. The blue colour makes it easier to distinguish from other storage you may keep nearby, though colour is a matter of preference. This is a basic, practical purchase: choose it for the storage size and USB 3.0 connection, and for having a small removable drive ready when a file needs to travel.
