Slik Carbon Telescopic Long Pole CLP-75426A Ball Head (7.5 Meter)
Slik Carbon Telescopic Long Pole CLP-75426A Ball Head (7.5 Meter) | Get a higher viewpoint in crowded spaces
A tripod can be awkward when spectators are packed close together, or when you need to move quickly to follow sport or wildlife. The Slik CLP-75426A is a telescopic monopod made for those situations, with a long-pole design that gives you a higher camera position without setting tripod legs across the ground. Its 7.5-metre reach can help you look over a crowd at an event or position a camera above the usual line of sight. For wildlife and sport with long lenses, it offers a way to support your setup when a full tripod takes up too much room. It’s a specialist tool rather than an everyday walking monopod: the long reach is useful when an ordinary support puts you too low, but it also calls for room to position the pole carefully. If access and viewpoint matter more than a compact setup, this Slik is built around that particular need.
Specialist Note
“Is this Slik pole useful when a tripod would block people’s way?” Yes—that’s one of the situations it’s designed to address. The carbon construction keeps the material choice suited to a pole you’ll need to position at height, while the ball head lets you adjust the camera’s framing instead of relying on the pole angle alone. I’d consider it for a sports event where you need a view over the crowd, or for wildlife when a long lens needs support away from a crowded tripod position. Its 7.5-metre length is a serious reach, so allow space to place and control it; it’s not the right answer when you need a small, unobtrusive support.
