SmallHD Articulating Arm Mount for Focus 7
SmallHD Articulating Arm Mount for Focus 7 | Adjust your monitor position
Without an articulated mount, a field monitor’s position can be dictated by whatever space is left on the setup. This SmallHD mount is made for the Focus 7 and uses an articulating arm, giving you a way to set the monitor’s position rather than treating it as fixed. It suits Focus 7 users who want to adjust where the screen sits while composing or checking a shot. For example, a camera-side framing check is easier to work into a setup when the screen can be positioned to suit your viewing angle; the same idea applies when you need to keep an eye on the monitor during a take. Its appeal is specific: it combines a monitor mount with an articulated arm for the Focus 7. If you use a different monitor, the product name doesn’t establish that it fits.
Specialist Note
For a quick framing check on your Focus 7, I’d use the articulated arm to set the screen where you can read it without making the monitor’s position dictate how you stand. The arm is the useful part here: articulation gives you a way to adjust the viewing position instead of relying on a fixed placement. And because this is a mount named for the Focus 7, its purpose is clear; it’s for someone building that monitor into a camera setup, not a general-purpose screen accessory. I’d consider it for shot framing or keeping the Focus 7 visible during a take. One practical limit: I wouldn’t assume it fits another monitor based on the arm design alone.
