SmallHD Camera Control Kit For Red DSMC2 (Cine 7 Indie 7 702 Touch)
SmallHD Camera Control Kit For Red DSMC2 (Cine 7 Indie 7 702 Touch) | Camera control for a RED DSMC2 setup
Many crews handle camera operation at the camera itself; this kit is for a setup built around camera control and a monitor. The SmallHD Camera Control Kit is designated for RED DSMC2 and names three monitor models: Cine 7, Indie 7 and 702 Touch. That makes its intended pairing easy to identify if your rig already centres on one of those displays and a RED DSMC2 camera. It suits cinematographers and camera teams working with those specific components, rather than someone looking for a general-purpose monitor accessory. Its value is in that clearly named camera-and-monitor pairing: you can see at a glance whether it matches the core of your setup. If RED DSMC2 and one of the listed SmallHD monitors are already part of your workflow, this is the camera control kit to consider for that combination. Its named scope is specific, not universal.
Specialist Note
Can I use this with a RED DSMC2 and a Cine 7? Yes—that’s the pairing identified for this kit. The RED DSMC2 designation matters if that’s the camera at the centre of your rig; this isn’t just a broadly named monitor accessory. Cine 7 is one of the monitor models named, and Indie 7 and 702 Touch are included as well, so the title gives you three specific monitor options to match against your setup. I’d consider it for a camera team building around those components and wanting camera control as part of that monitor-based arrangement. Its scope is the important point: the product is named for RED DSMC2 and those SmallHD monitors, not other camera systems.
