SmallRig 5060 Hawklock Quick Release Cage Kit For Sony Alpha 6700
SmallRig 5060 Hawklock Quick Release Cage Kit For Sony Alpha 6700 | A cage kit for tripod setups
Without a cage kit, adding camera support to a tripod setup can mean working with the camera on its own. The SmallRig 5060 Hawklock Quick Release Cage Kit is a tripod accessory made for the Sony Alpha 6700, bringing a cage-based approach to a setup built around that camera. It suits Alpha 6700 owners who want to organise their camera for tripod work, including video recording and carefully framed stills. The name points to two central parts of the design: a cage kit and a Hawklock quick-release system. That makes it relevant when you want a camera arrangement that can be released rather than treated as a permanent fixture. This is a focused accessory for a specific camera, not a general-purpose tripod or a replacement for one. If your setup is centred on the Alpha 6700, it gives you a dedicated cage-kit option to consider.
Specialist Note
“Does this kit suit my Sony Alpha 6700?” Yes—it’s made for that camera, so you’re choosing a camera-specific cage kit rather than a universal fit. The Hawklock quick-release element is the detail I’d focus on if you want a setup that can be released as part of your tripod workflow. I’d consider it for a video setup where the Alpha 6700 is prepared in a cage, or for tripod-mounted stills when you want that same cage-based arrangement. It’s a specialised accessory, so it makes most sense when the Alpha 6700 is the centre of your setup; it isn’t a tripod on its own.
