SmallRig 5383 RC 100C COB LED Video Light Kit (Ink Blue /w/ Battery Grip Handle)

SmallRig 5383 RC 100C COB LED Video Light Kit (Ink Blue /w/ Battery Grip Handle) | Continuous light for video work

Without a dedicated video light, you’re often left arranging a shot around whatever light the room happens to provide. The SmallRig 5383 RC 100C is a COB LED video light kit, named for its Ink Blue finish and battery grip handle designation. It’s for people who want a continuous-light option in a video setup, rather than relying on ambient light alone. That makes it relevant for filmed scenes, talking-head pieces and other work where the light needs to be present while you record. The product name gives you the key identifiers: SmallRig, RC 100C, COB LED, and the kit’s colour and handle designation. It doesn’t tell us how much light it produces, so the honest recommendation is to choose it based on those specific details and your lighting needs, not an assumed output. If you’re comparing lights, that distinction matters.

Considering this light for your setup

Continuous light is useful when you want to see the effect of illumination while composing and recording. Unlike a flash, it remains on rather than delivering a brief burst; that’s the basic difference that makes this category relevant to video. The RC 100C’s product name identifies it as a COB LED light, but doesn’t give a brightness figure or describe adjustment options. For a purchase decision, think first about the scene you need to light and the space available for your setup. Then compare the information provided for each model against those needs. One practical point: the Ink Blue colour and battery grip handle designation are part of this product’s name, so they’re useful identifiers when you’re checking you’ve selected the intended version.
