SmallRig 5722 Backpack Clip For Action Cameras - 180° rotation and tilt
Keep your action-camera footage framed the way you want as you move. The SmallRig 5722 Backpack Clip For Action Cameras combines a ball head that rotates 180° with a two-point joint that tilts through 180°, so you can switch between landscape and portrait framing. It’s made for action cameras and suits sports, travel and vlogging, including point-of-view footage from a backpack strap. That makes it a handy way to capture a moving view while keeping your hands free. The mount also has a magnetic back for attaching to metal surfaces, plus a folding hook for hanging it from thin edges. Those extra mounting options are useful for a quick lifestyle clip at home or a fixed angle for a fitness video. It’s a compact mount with more than one way to position your camera.
Built for action-camera angles
- Separate rotation and tilt: The ball head turns up to 180°, and the two-point joint tilts up to 180°. Set the camera in landscape or portrait orientation to suit your shot.
- Magnetic back: Attach the mount to a metal surface such as a refrigerator or an iron door or window for a stationary vlog or fitness angle.
- Folding hanging hook: The built-in hook opens to hang the camera from a thin edge, including a window frame or netting.
- Backpack strap fit: The clip suits most straps 5–7 cm wide and 1–1.5 cm thick. Ribbed silicone padding adds grip where the clip contacts the strap.
- Grooved silicone lining: Curved grooves grip cylindrical surfaces such as a railing or tube measuring 1–2 cm in diameter.
Specialist Note
New action-camera owners often clip on and start moving before checking how the camera will sit in the frame. The 5722’s separate 180° rotation and 180° tilt give you a useful way to set landscape or portrait framing before recording. I’d recommend it to sports and travel shooters who want a hands-free point of view: attach it to a backpack strap within the stated 5–7 cm width and 1–1.5 cm thickness range, then adjust the angle for the view you want. The ribbed silicone contact surface adds grip on the strap. One limit to keep in mind: straps outside those measurements aren’t covered by the stated fit.
