SmallRig 5917 Storage Bag For Action Cameras - Space for one camera and its accessories
Keeping an action camera, spare batteries and small accessories together can turn into a pocket-full of loose pieces. The SmallRig 5917 Storage Bag For Action Cameras packs a camera, including one fitted with a cage, alongside room for up to four TF cards, two batteries, an adapter, cables and filters. Its shaped interior and protective divider keep the contents arranged in a compact case, rather than jumbled together. The bag is intended for action-camera owners who want their core kit in one place: take the camera and a spare battery along for a short outing, or pack cards and filters with the camera when you’re carrying extra shooting options. A textured PU exterior and water-resistant construction add protection around the kit, while the two-way zip gives access from either side. It’s a small, purpose-organised storage bag, not a large equipment case.
Highlights
- Textured PU exterior: The black outer material is described as waterproof and abrasion-resistant, adding a protective layer around the stored kit.
- Two-way waterproof zips: Open the bag from either side to reach the contents. The zip design also adds protection at the opening.
- Shaped interior with divider: A formed interior and protective partition help keep the action camera apart from the smaller items packed alongside it.
- Storage for camera essentials: The layout accommodates one action camera with a cage, up to two batteries and four TF cards, plus an adapter, common data cables and filters.
- Compact dimensions: At 120 × 145 × 66 mm, the bag keeps this collection of small accessories together in a compact format.
Specialist Note
“Will the SmallRig 5917 hold more than just the camera?” Yes: it’s laid out for a camera with its cage and the small essentials that tend to accompany it. I’d use the formed space for the camera, then separate batteries and cards into their allocated places; that makes a compact kit easier to keep in order. At 135 g, the bag adds little weight to what you carry, and the supplied carabiner gives you an attachment option when you’re moving around. It’s best suited to a lean action-camera setup rather than a collection of larger accessories. For a short outing, pack the camera, a spare battery and the cards you’ll need together.
Good to know
The inside uses dense mesh card slots with leather accents, alongside its shaped layout. A carry cord is also mentioned for transport, in addition to the carabiner. The case’s compact proportions are useful when you want the camera kit gathered in one small bag, though its stated capacity is specifically for one action camera and a selection of smaller accessories—not a larger equipment collection.
