SmallRig 6379 Hawklock Quick Release Cage Kit For Canon EOS R6 V
SmallRig 6379 Hawklock Quick Release Cage Kit For Canon EOS R6 V | A cage kit for tripod setups
The defining choice is combining a camera cage kit with HawkLock quick release, so the setup is built around the Canon EOS R6 V while allowing a quicker change in how it’s supported. SmallRig identifies this as a tripod accessory, which makes it relevant if your camera spends time on a tripod and you want a cage-based rig around it. It’s aimed at EOS R6 V owners who want to organise their camera setup for work such as tabletop filming, interviews or other tripod-based shoots. The appeal is the pairing: a cage kit for this specific camera and a named quick-release system, rather than a general accessory with no clear camera fit. It’s a focused option for a dedicated EOS R6 V setup, not a one-size-fits-all cage.
In a working setup
For a tabletop shoot, the cage-kit format gives you a camera-centred starting point, while the HawkLock quick release is the part to consider when your support arrangement needs to change. It also suits a seated interview setup where the camera remains on a tripod. Keep the rig focused on the EOS R6 V and the way you work; this product’s appeal is its camera-specific pairing, not a promise of extra functions or included accessories.
Specialist Note
A product shoot is underway at a studio table, and the camera needs to move from a composed tripod view to a new support position. That’s where the HawkLock quick-release idea earns its place: it’s intended to make changes in the setup less of a drawn-out interruption. The cage kit is made for the Canon EOS R6 V, so it’s a considered pick for owners building around that camera rather than looking for a universal cage. I’d look at it for tabletop filming or a seated interview, keeping the rig arranged around the shot before you begin. Its focus is deliberately specific: the named fit is the EOS R6 V.
