SWIT LA-BS100 LA-BS100 | Softbox w/ Eggcrate For SL-100P

SWIT LA-BS100 Softbox with Eggcrate for SL-100P | Shape light with more control

SWIT LA-BS100 is a softbox with an eggcrate, made for use with the SL-100P. It suits photographers and video makers who want to soften a light source while keeping its spread more directed. The softbox gives the light a softer character; the eggcrate helps keep it from spilling as widely into the rest of the scene. That can be handy when you’re lighting a subject against a darker background or working in a compact space where stray light is hard to manage. It’s a focused modifier rather than an all-purpose lighting kit, and its named fit makes the intended pairing clear. If you’re building a simple setup around the SL-100P and want softer light with more control over where it falls, this accessory is made for that job. The honest trade-off is that a grid narrows the light’s reach, so it’s less suited to situations where you want broad coverage.

Controlled, softer light

Use the softbox when a bare light source looks too direct for the scene, then rely on the eggcrate to help keep illumination aimed where you need it. That combination is useful for separating a subject from nearby areas you’d rather leave less lit. It can also help keep light off a background when you’re working close to one. The effect depends on how you place the light and subject, so the accessory gives you a way to shape the setup rather than a fixed result. For a portrait, interview, or small product scene, that extra control can make it easier to keep the lighting deliberate. The LA-BS100 is identified for the SL-100P; use it when that’s the light in your setup and you want a soft source with a grid.
