SWIT S-7000F S-7000F | DV Battery Mount Plate For Sony NP-F Type
SWIT S-7000F S-7000F | A dedicated plate for NP-F DV battery setups
This SWIT accessory is a DV battery mount plate for Sony NP-F-type batteries, rather than a general tripod add-on. It’s aimed at video makers building a setup around that battery format who need a matching plate as part of their tripod accessories. Its specific role is the useful distinction: the product is a mount plate, not a battery or a complete power source. That makes it most relevant when the intended DV setup uses Sony NP-F-type batteries and you need the corresponding plate in your equipment plan. If you’re sorting parts for a video rig, the product name gives you the key detail to match: the battery type. Keep that format in mind when deciding whether this plate belongs in your setup. It’s a focused accessory for that particular use, rather than a general-purpose tripod component.
Specialist Note
The 7000 in S-7000F is the model identifier; in practice, it gives you a clear reference for this particular plate when you’re choosing parts for a rig. Its NP-F designation is the detail to match to your intended DV battery setup, so you can keep the plate choice tied to the battery format you plan to use. I’d consider it for a tripod-based video arrangement where that format is already part of the plan. One honest limitation: this is a mount plate, not the battery itself, so it’s one component in the setup rather than a standalone power solution. If you need a plate for another battery type, this one isn’t the answer.
