SWIT S-7000i S-7000i | DV Battery Mount Plate For JVC SSL Type
SWIT S-7000i DV Battery Mount Plate for JVC SSL Type | A dedicated plate for JVC SSL-type DV batteries
The annoyance with a tripod-based video setup is having to match the battery mounting part to the battery system you’re building around. The SWIT S-7000i is a DV battery mount plate identified for JVC SSL type, giving that setup a specifically named mounting component rather than a general-purpose accessory. It’s a tripod accessory, so it belongs in a rig plan where the camera support and battery arrangement are being considered together. This is most relevant to videographers and production teams using a JVC SSL-type DV battery setup who need the corresponding plate as part of their tripod configuration. Keep the product name in your equipment notes; “S-7000i” makes it easier to specify the intended plate when planning or sourcing parts. Its value is in that defined role: a mount plate for a particular battery type, rather than a universal battery solution.
Specialist Note
When I map out a tripod build, I’d write “S-7000i” beside the JVC SSL-type DV battery on the parts list; that specificity helps keep the mounting component tied to the battery format the setup calls for. The S-7000i is a plate, so think of it as the battery-mounting part of the build, not a battery itself. I’d consider it for a tripod-based video rig or a studio setup where the same JVC SSL-type battery arrangement is planned. Its useful boundary is clear: this is a JVC SSL-type plate, not a catch-all mount for different battery types. If that matches your rig, its role is straightforward to specify.
