Telesin 1/4 Black Mist Filter For DJI Osmo Action 6
Telesin 1/4 Black Mist Filter For DJI Osmo Action 6 | Soften bright highlights in-camera
Bright shop signs or headlights can look hard and sharp in action footage. The Telesin 1/4 Black Mist Filter is made for the DJI Osmo Action 6 and gives you a way to soften that look as you record, rather than trying to add diffusion later in editing. A black mist filter gently spreads the appearance of bright highlights and takes some edge off contrast, creating a more atmospheric image. The 1/4 strength is the key choice here: it’s for filmmakers who want the effect to be visible, not an almost imperceptible change. Try it for evening street clips, music or event footage, or scenes with a bright light source in frame. It won’t change the location or lighting for you, and the mist effect is a creative look rather than a neutral correction. If you want crisp, unsoftened highlights, this isn’t the filter to reach for.
Specialist Note
This filter gives DJI Osmo Action 6 footage a softer rendering of bright points of light. The 1/4 strength is a useful guide: choose it when you want the black-mist effect to be part of the image, rather than a barely noticeable touch. For evening footage, try framing shop lights or headlights alongside your subject; those highlights are where the diffusion character can be most apparent. It also suits music and event clips where a less hard, more atmospheric look is welcome. Its named compatibility is specifically with the DJI Osmo Action 6, so this is a model-specific filter choice. The trade-off is intentional softness—skip it when you want highlights to stay crisp.
