Telesin 1/4 Black Mist Screw-Filter - DJI Osmo Action 6
Telesin 1/4 Black Mist Screw-Filter - DJI Osmo Action 6 | Softer highlights for action footage
Bright shop signs, street lamps or reflections can look harsh in action footage, especially when you want a softer, more atmospheric finish. The Telesin 1/4 Black Mist Screw-Filter is made for the DJI Osmo Action 6 and gives you that look in-camera: a black mist filter gently blooms highlights and takes the edge off contrast. Its 1/4 strength offers a restrained effect, so the scene keeps its character rather than turning heavily hazy. That makes it a good fit for creators who want a more cinematic feel in everyday clips, evening street scenes or backlit moments, without needing to build the look from scratch in editing. This is a specific creative filter, not a general-purpose clear protector. Use it when you want light sources to feel softer and the image to feel less stark; leave it off when crisp, high-contrast detail is the priority.
Specialist Note
For taking the hard edge off bright highlights while filming on your Osmo Action 6, this 1/4 Black Mist filter gives you the effect at capture, rather than asking you to recreate it later in editing. I’d consider it for evening city clips with illuminated signs, or for backlit action where you want the light to bloom gently; keep the brightest sources in frame and let the filter do its subtle softening. The screw-filter format is a practical way to add that look directly to the camera setup. Its 1/4 strength is deliberately moderate, though, so it won’t suit every shot: if you want pin-sharp, punchy highlights, leave this one off.
