TetherTools TetherPro USB 3.0 To Male B 15' (4.6m) Black

TetherTools TetherPro USB 3.0 To Male B 15' (4.6m) Black | A longer reach for tethered setups

Without a cable of the right length, a tethered setup can leave your camera and computer awkwardly close together. The TetherTools TetherPro USB 3.0 To Male B cable gives you a 15-foot (4.6m) connection to work with, with a USB 3.0 end and a Male B connector. It’s for photographers who need this connector arrangement in a tethered workflow and want some room to position their equipment. The extra reach is the main practical point here: you can plan a setup around the cable’s length rather than assuming the camera has to sit right beside the computer. Its black finish is a straightforward choice for a cable that may be visible in your working area. One honest consideration: the connector type and available length need to suit your setup, so this cable is most useful when those details match what you need.

Planning your setup

Think about the route the cable will take between the two connection points, not just the distance between them. A direct path may be shorter than one that runs around a table, stand or other equipment. Leave enough slack for the positions you actually use, while keeping the cable route tidy in your work area. This is especially worth considering if you change the arrangement of your tethered setup from one shoot to another. The product name identifies the connector as Male B, so that detail matters when selecting a cable; the USB 3.0 designation is another part of the match. If both are what your setup calls for, the stated length gives you a clear basis for planning where to place your equipment. It’s a specific cable for a specific connection, rather than a general-purpose accessory description.
