TetherTools TetherPro USB 3.0 To USB-C 15' (4.6m) Black

TetherTools TetherPro USB 3.0 To USB-C 15' (4.6m) Black | More room for tethered setups

What sets this cable apart is the combination of a USB 3.0-to-USB-C connection and extra reach in one tethering lead. The TetherTools TetherPro suits photographers whose camera and computer have matching ports and who want more freedom to position them. Its 15-foot (4.6 m) length can help keep the computer away from the immediate shooting position, handy at a studio table or a fixed shooting station. It’s worth considering when a shorter lead would dictate where you place your equipment. The black finish keeps the cable visually understated among other gear. One practical point: extra length helps with placement only if you can route the cable safely around your working area, so consider its path as well as the connections. For a tethered workflow, this is a straightforward option when connector fit and working distance are your main requirements.

Think through the layout before you connect everything. A clear route between the camera position and the computer can make it easier to work without the cable crossing the area where you move or handle equipment. If your setup changes during a shoot, consider where the cable will sit when you shift either device; a little planning can prevent the lead from becoming an obstacle. The cable’s job is simple, but its route matters in a real working space. It’s also sensible to keep the connection points easy to reach, so you can disconnect or reposition equipment without pulling on the cable. Choose it for the connection type and reach you need, rather than assuming that a longer lead will suit every layout.
