Tilta MB-T15-C80 80mm Cinema Adapter Ring For Mini Clamp-On Matte Box
Tilta MB-T15-C80 80mm Cinema Adapter Ring For Mini Clamp-On Matte Box | Keeps matte-box rig planning specific
Tilta MB-T15-C80 is an 80mm cinema adapter ring for the Mini Clamp-On Matte Box, for camera operators building a handheld video rig. Its named role makes it a focused component for a setup that includes that matte box, rather than a general-purpose rig accessory. The supplier positions the product for handheld work where the camera needs extra support, so it’s relevant when you’re planning a shoulder-rig arrangement around that kind of shooting. Think of the ring as one part of the build, not as the support system itself. If your rig plan calls for the Mini Clamp-On Matte Box, the 80mm designation gives you a specific reference point for this component. It’s a straightforward item with a specific purpose: to serve as the cinema adapter ring identified in its name.
Planning it into your rig
For handheld video, consider the ring as part of a larger camera-support setup. That distinction matters: the supplier’s intended use is handheld work with extra support, while the product title identifies this item as an adapter ring. Keep its role clear as you plan the rig, and avoid expecting the ring alone to provide shoulder support. Its value is in being a specifically named part of the matte-box arrangement.
Specialist Note
Planning stays simple when the part has a clear job: this is the 80mm ring for the Mini Clamp-On Matte Box. I’d use those two details as the reference when mapping out a handheld cinema rig, rather than treating it as a general rig accessory. The size gives you a concrete point to work from, and the named matte box keeps the intended setup specific. It suits operators assembling a supported handheld arrangement; think of the ring as one component in that build, not the source of the camera support itself. That’s a useful distinction with a part this specialised.
