TTArtisan 23mm f/1.4 L-Mount | APS-C
TTArtisan 23mm f/1.4 L-Mount | APS-C | A bright wide view for deliberate shooting
When a landscape opens up or a building fills the frame, a 23mm wide-angle prime gives you room to include the surroundings without stepping too far back. This TTArtisan lens is made for APS-C cameras with a Leica L mount, and its f/1.4 maximum aperture is useful when the light fades or you want to work with a shallow depth of field. It’s a manual-focus lens, so it suits photographers who prefer to set focus themselves, especially for considered landscape and architecture compositions. Astro photography is another good fit: the wide view helps include more of the sky, while the bright maximum aperture gives you more light to work with. Its estimated 63° angle of view offers a broad but manageable frame for these subjects. If you enjoy taking time over focus and framing, this is a straightforward prime to build a considered shot around.
Specialist Note
At 23mm, this lens gives an APS-C frame a broad view that still feels practical for buildings and landscape details. On an APS-C Leica L-mount body, that framing is roughly equivalent to 34.5mm on full frame. The f/1.4 maximum aperture is particularly handy for a night-sky composition: open it fully to gather more light, then focus manually on a bright star. That manual focus asks you to take care rather than shoot casually, which suits patient work well. For architecture, take a moment to level your framing and place the building’s edges carefully. It’s a strong match for deliberate shooting, though it won’t give you autofocus.
