Ulanzi MT66 Clipmate Mini Tripod For DJI Action 6/Nano
Ulanzi MT66 Clipmate Mini Tripod For DJI Action 6/Nano | Support for tight spaces
At a busy event, there may be too little room to set up a tripod, but you still want support for your camera. The Ulanzi MT66 Clipmate is a monopod, named for use with the DJI Action 6/Nano. It’s suited to photographers who need to work in a confined space, as well as sports and wildlife photographers using long lenses. In those situations, a monopod offers a supporting point without taking up the room a tripod needs. That makes it a practical option when you’re following action or working among other people. For wildlife and sport, it’s particularly relevant with a long lens; at events, its purpose is to give you support where a tripod would get in the way. It’s a focused tool for those situations, rather than a general-purpose tripod replacement.
Specialist Note
The “Mini Tripod” wording in the MT66’s name can be a little confusing: its product type is a monopod. That distinction matters when choosing support for the DJI Action 6/Nano, which is the camera system named for this model. I’d consider it when you need to keep your setup manageable in a crowded event space, or when a long lens makes support welcome for sports and wildlife. In those settings, use it as a monopod rather than expecting the setup of a tripod. It has a specific role, and that’s where I’d recommend it; it isn’t the right answer when you need a tripod.
