Ulanzi PT-3 Triple Cold Shoe Mount w/ Extension Piece
Ulanzi PT-3 Triple Cold Shoe Mount w/ Extension Piece | Make room for three cold-shoe accessories
When a camera setup needs a microphone and a light, a single accessory shoe can leave you short on mounting space. The Ulanzi PT-3 is a triple cold shoe mount with an extension piece, giving you a way to arrange multiple cold-shoe accessories as part of one setup. It suits video creators and photographers who want to build out a rig with more than one accessory, without treating each item as a separate mounting problem. The key detail is in the name: three cold shoes, plus an extension piece. That makes the PT-3 a straightforward accessory for adding mounting positions, rather than a filter that changes how your lens renders a scene. Use it when your setup calls for several cold-shoe accessories and you want them brought together on one mount.
What a cold shoe mount does
A cold shoe is a place to mount an accessory; it doesn't supply the accessory’s function. The PT-3 gives you three such mounting positions, while the extension piece adds another part to the arrangement. Choose the accessories for the job, then use the PT-3 to bring them into one setup. It’s a simple distinction, but a helpful one when planning a rig: this product provides mounting space, not the microphone, light or other accessory itself.
Specialist Note
Three cold-shoe positions are the useful physical detail here: they let you plan for more than one accessory on the mount, instead of deciding which single item gets the shoe. I’d consider the PT-3 for a video setup where a microphone and a light both need a place, with the third position available for another cold-shoe accessory. The extension piece gives you an extra part to work into that arrangement, so think about how you want the accessories grouped before you attach them. It suits people building an accessory-equipped setup; it won’t replace the accessories themselves.
