Urth 67 72mm Step Up Ring Lens Filter Adapter
Urth 67 72mm Step Up Ring Lens Filter Adapter | Use a larger filter on your lens
Keep using a larger filter on a lens with a smaller filter thread: this Urth step-up ring connects a 72mm filter to a lens with a 67mm thread. It’s for photographers who already own filters in the larger size and want to use them on a lens with the smaller thread, rather than buying another filter for that lens. Fit the ring between the lens and filter, and you can use that filter setup on the lens. That can be handy when you’re packing for a day out and want to bring one filter instead of separate sizes for each lens. The key is the direction: this is a step-up ring, so it adapts from the smaller lens thread to the larger filter. It won’t do the reverse job. If those are the sizes you need to join, this simple adapter helps you make better use of the filters you already own.
Specialist Note
The Urth 67 72mm Step Up Ring Lens Filter Adapter is best at letting a larger filter serve a lens with a smaller thread. In practical terms, the 67mm side goes on the lens, while the 72mm side accepts the filter; that direction is what makes it a step-up ring. I’d consider it if you have a 72mm polariser or neutral-density filter and want to use it on a lens with a 67mm thread. You’ll need to attach the ring before the filter, then take care when removing the setup so the pieces don’t separate unexpectedly. It’s a focused adapter, not a way to fit every filter size in either direction.
