Viltrox Ultra Slim MC UV / Protection Filters 77mm
Viltrox Ultra Slim MC UV / Protection Filters 77mm | Everyday front-element protection
A lens’s front glass is exposed to dust and accidental contact during everyday use. The Viltrox Ultra Slim MC UV / Protection Filter gives it a protective layer without changing your usual camera setup. This is a 77mm UV/protection filter, suited to a lens with a matching 77mm filter thread. The Ultra Slim design keeps the filter’s profile low, which may appeal if you prefer not to add a prominent ring at the front of your lens. It’s intended for photographers who want a filter they can leave in place during routine shooting, then remove when it’s time to clean it. The benefit is simple: you can wipe the filter surface instead of handling the lens’s front element as often. It’s a practical option for everyday use, especially when your lens is out in places where dust or casual knocks are a concern.
Specialist Note
At a 77mm lens on your everyday camera, I’d keep this filter fitted when you’re shooting in busy streets or working around dust. The 77mm size gives you a clear matching point: use it with a lens marked for a 77mm filter. Its ultra-slim profile keeps the added rim low, which makes sense if you want protection without a bulky-looking front end. I’d treat it as a first line of defence, not as a substitute for a lens cap in a bag; it can’t prevent every impact. It suits photographers who want a simple protective layer left on between cleaning sessions.
