Wooden Camera A00296 Faceplate Cage Sony Venice Venice 2 Rialto Rialto 2
Wooden Camera A00296 Faceplate Cage Sony Venice Venice 2 Rialto Rialto 2 | A dedicated cage accessory for tripod builds
Without a faceplate cage in the setup, you’re working without this particular part of the camera build. The Wooden Camera A00296 is a tripod accessory named for the Sony Venice, Venice 2, Rialto and Rialto 2 systems. It suits crews planning a build around one of those cameras and looking to include a faceplate cage in their tripod workflow. Its appeal is specific: it gives you a dedicated cage accessory to consider as part of that setup, rather than a general-purpose camera add-on with a broad list of uses. For a production team choosing components by camera system, the named compatibility makes it easier to see where this part belongs. It’s best suited to someone who already knows a faceplate cage is part of the build they want. If you’re comparing tripod accessories for one of the listed systems, this is a focused option to assess against your planned configuration.
Specialist Note
On a Venice 2 tripod build, I’d consider the A00296 when a faceplate cage is part of the configuration you’re putting together. The useful detail here is that it’s identified for the Venice and Venice 2 as well as the Rialto and Rialto 2, so you can narrow your selection to those named camera systems rather than guess from a generic cage listing. I’d look at it for a studio setup with a locked-off frame, or for a tripod-based production using one of the listed systems, and plan it as one component of the build. One practical limit: it’s an accessory, not a tripod or a complete camera setup.
