Wooden Camera A00298 Side Hook-And-Loop Plate Sony Venice 2
Wooden Camera A00298 Side Hook-And-Loop Plate Sony Venice 2 | A dedicated hook-and-loop point at the side
A camera rig can be harder to organize when an item needs a specific place at the side, rather than an improvised spot elsewhere. The Wooden Camera A00298 Side Hook-And-Loop Plate is a tripod accessory made for Sony Venice 2 setups, giving you a side plate with a hook-and-loop fastening surface. It suits camera operators and crew building a Venice 2 rig who need to position an item designed to attach with hook-and-loop. That makes it useful when you want to keep such an item beside the camera and have a defined place for it during setup. The product is deliberately specific: its name identifies both the side position and the Sony Venice 2 system. It isn’t a general-purpose tripod plate, so its value is in serving this particular rig-building need, rather than offering a broad mounting solution.
Specialist Note
Need a hook-and-loop point on the side of a Sony Venice 2? That’s the role of this plate. I’d consider it when you’re building a Venice 2 rig and an item you use is designed to fasten with hook-and-loop: the plate gives that item a defined place beside the camera. The side position is useful if you want the item kept at the side rather than left loose elsewhere in the setup. For a practical example, use it to give a hook-and-loop-backed item a designated spot while you assemble the rig. One limitation is worth keeping in mind: this is a focused accessory, not a universal fixing point for items that don’t use hook-and-loop.
