Zhiyun Smooth 5E Combo - AI Tracking Grey
Zhiyun Smooth 5E Combo - AI Tracking Grey | Smoother footage while moving
Walking footage can turn shaky quickly, and holding a phone steady while talking to camera takes practice. The Zhiyun Smooth 5E Combo is a gimbal stabiliser for smoother video on the move, with AI tracking named as part of this grey model. It suits vloggers and anyone who wants to film while walking, rather than keeping every shot locked off on a tripod. The gimbal is most at home in moving shots: walking clips, a piece to camera or following a subject as you film. AI tracking is useful when you want the framing to follow your subject, while stabilisation helps take the edge off movement from walking. It’s a focused tool for video, not a camera in its own right, so you’ll still use your phone to record. If your main frustration is footage that bounces as you move, this is the kind of kit worth considering.
Specialist Note
The honest limit is that a gimbal can steady movement, but it can’t choose your framing or make a rushed walk look composed. I’d still point a vlogger towards this Smooth 5E because it combines a gimbal stabiliser with AI tracking: the stabiliser addresses the shake, and the tracking is aimed at keeping your subject in the shot. It makes sense for a walking piece to camera or a moving clip where you want attention to stay on someone in front of you. The “5E” is the model name, not a shooting setting; for a better-looking result, move at a measured pace and keep your subject clearly framed.
