Specialist Note
Manual focus does ask you to take responsibility for keeping your subject sharp; that’s the trade-off. For video work where focus is part of the shot, I think this kit makes good sense. I’d use the 35mm for a roomier two-person scene, the 50mm for a more contained medium shot, and the 85mm when I want a close detail without moving the camera. All three are T2.0, which gives you room to work when the available light is limited. For a planned focus pull, rehearse the subject’s movement and focus change together; that’s a more dependable way to get the transition you want than trying to improvise it mid-take.
