8Sinn 15mm Baseplate V2 + Riser Plate I + 10 ARRI Dovetail Plate
8Sinn 15mm Baseplate V2 + Riser Plate I + 10 ARRI Dovetail Plate | A considered base for tripod setups
The 15mm designation is the defining choice here: it gives this tripod accessory a clear format to plan around. 8Sinn brings together a 15mm Baseplate V2, Riser Plate I and 10 ARRI Dovetail Plate, so this is a specific combination rather than a general-purpose tripod part. It suits filmmakers putting together a camera support setup who want to choose these named components as one arrangement. The useful part is being able to consider the baseplate, riser and dovetail plate together while planning the rig, instead of treating the product as an unspecified plate. That makes it a sensible item to assess when your build calls for this particular 15mm baseplate and the two named plates. It’s a focused accessory for a planned setup; the product name doesn’t make it a complete camera-support system on its own.
Specialist Note
In use, the advantage is having three clearly identified parts to plan into one support setup, rather than starting with an unnamed plate and guessing what the configuration is. I’d begin with the 15mm Baseplate V2 as the reference point, then account for Riser Plate I and the 10 ARRI Dovetail Plate in the same build plan. That’s useful when you’re laying out a tripod-supported camera rig and want to decide on the support components before arranging the rest of the setup. It suits filmmakers working to a deliberate rig plan. One practical limit: the product name describes these components, not a full camera build, so it’s best viewed as one part of that larger setup.
