8Sinn Lens Adapter Support For Evolution L-Mount To PL To Cage For SL2 / SL2-S | Support for a specific adapter setup

Without a dedicated support part, an L-Mount-to-PL adapter setup has no support accessory in the cage arrangement. This 8Sinn component is made for that specific job: it supports the lens-adapter setup on an Evolution cage for the SL2 or SL2-S. It suits filmmakers and camera operators building either of those cameras around a PL lens, and want the adapter arrangement to have a support designed for the cage. It’s important to distinguish the part from the adapter itself: this is support hardware, not the component that converts between mounts. Its value is in bringing the adapter support and the named cage system together, rather than adding another general-purpose accessory. If your setup is an SL2 or SL2-S with the Evolution cage and an L-Mount-to-PL adapter, this is the specific support component to consider.

Specialist Note

For an SL2-S build with a PL lens, I’d look at this support when the setup uses an L-Mount-to-PL adapter and an Evolution cage. The useful detail is that it’s made for that exact camera-and-cage arrangement, so it’s a more targeted option than a general support accessory. I’d treat it as one part of the setup: pair it with the adapter and the named cage, rather than expecting this piece to change the lens mount by itself. It suits operators assembling a PL-lens configuration around an SL2 or SL2-S. Just keep in mind that the support isn’t the adapter; you’ll need the mount-converting component separately.
