ACT 15 Meters High Speed Cable V2.0 HDMI-A Male - HDMI-A Male (AWG28)

ACT 15 Meters High Speed Cable V2.0 HDMI-A Male - HDMI-A Male (AWG28) | Connect HDMI devices across a longer distance

When your screen and source need to sit well apart, a short lead can leave you rearranging the room. This ACT cable gives you a 15-metre connection, with an HDMI-A male plug at each end. It’s for a setup where both devices have HDMI-A sockets and the cable needs to cover more ground than a desk-length run. The title identifies it as a High Speed HDMI V2.0 cable, with AWG28 conductors. Those details make it easier to match the cable to the connection you’re planning, without guessing from a vague product name. Its straightforward job is to link two HDMI-A connections over a longer span. That’s the reason to consider this particular cable: the length, connector type and stated HDMI version are clearly identified.

Plan the route before you connect

With a 15-metre cable, it’s worth working out the route between the two devices before you start laying it down. Measure the path you actually intend to use, rather than the straight-line distance between endpoints; a route around furniture or along a wall may need more length. Keep the cable path in mind when positioning the devices, too. That simple bit of planning can save you from finding that a connection reaches only when the cable is pulled tight. The cable’s length is useful where the endpoints can’t be placed close together, but it does mean there’s more cable to route and manage than with a short lead.

For a quick compatibility check, compare the connection at each end: this cable has HDMI-A male plugs on both sides. It’s a specific fit for matching HDMI-A sockets, rather than a cable with a different plug arrangement. If those are the connections your setup uses, the main decision is whether the 15-metre run suits the route you’ve planned. I’d settle that measurement first, then choose the cable accordingly.
