ACT 30m DisplayPort 1.4 Active Optical Cable 8K w/ Detach

ACT 30m DisplayPort 1.4 Active Optical Cable 8K w/ Detach | Long reach for a distant display

If your display needs to sit far from its source, a short cable can dictate where everything goes. The ACT 30m DisplayPort 1.4 Active Optical Cable 8K w/ Detach gives you a long cable option with active optical construction and a detachable design. It’s for a DisplayPort connection where the cable run is the practical concern, and its name specifies 8K. Its clearest appeal is a setup that needs distance while using the stated DisplayPort 1.4 format. Thirty metres is a substantial run, so it’s worth planning the route before installation; a long cable can be harder to reposition once equipment is in place. The detachable detail may also matter when you’re deciding how the cable will fit into your setup. This is a focused cable purchase, so match the connection and requirements of your equipment to the details shown here.

Plan the route before you buy

Measure the path the cable will actually take, rather than relying on the straight-line distance between the source and display. Allow for the way it needs to travel around furniture or along a wall, and consider where the cable will enter or leave each piece of equipment. A little planning helps avoid finding that the chosen route is longer than expected, or that the cable needs to cross a busy walkway. It’s also useful to think about how accessible the connection points will be after installation. If you expect to move your equipment, consider that when laying out the route. These are simple checks, but they can make a long cable run easier to plan and live with.
