ACT 6 Port Network Switch 10/100MBPS 4X Poe+ (30W) Port

ACT 6 Port Network Switch 10/100MBPS 4X Poe+ (30W) Port | Wired networking with PoE+ power

Adding wired devices to a network can mean juggling connections and power arrangements. The ACT 6 Port Network Switch brings network switching and PoE+ ports together in one unit, giving you a straightforward option for a wired setup. It has six ports in total, with four PoE+ ports marked 30W, and supports 10/100 Mbps speeds. That makes it suited to a network where you need several wired connections and want PoE+ available on some of them. The honest point to keep in mind is the speed: this is a 10/100 Mbps switch, so its stated speeds are clear and modest. If those figures match your network needs, the ACT offers a simple way to add switching without choosing a model based on features that aren’t part of its description.

Using PoE+ on a network

PoE+ carries power and network data over Ethernet cabling to compatible equipment. That can be handy in an installation where you want to avoid arranging a separate power connection for every device that supports this method. The ACT’s four PoE+ ports give you that option on part of the switch, while the unit’s remaining ports are included in its six-port total. As with any network equipment, the right choice depends on the speed and power needs of the devices you plan to connect; this model’s stated details give you a clear starting point for that decision. It’s a practical, specific option for a wired network that needs switching and PoE+ in the same product.
