ACT 7.5m HDMI Pro Certified 8K Active Optical Cable HDMI-A Male HDMI-A Male

ACT 7.5m HDMI Pro Certified 8K Active Optical Cable HDMI-A Male HDMI-A Male | A longer HDMI connection with optical design

Short HDMI leads can leave you with little room to place connected equipment. This ACT cable gives you a 7.5-metre run, with HDMI-A male connectors at both ends, so it’s worth considering when your setup needs more reach. It’s an active optical cable, and its name specifies HDMI Pro Certification and 8K. That makes it a specific option for shoppers looking for those designations in an HDMI cable, rather than a basic lead chosen only by length. Before buying, think about the route the cable will take and where each end needs to plug in. The connector format matters just as much as the distance: both devices need a matching HDMI-A socket. For a neat installation, measure the actual path around furniture or along a wall, rather than relying only on the straight-line gap. That’s the practical way to judge whether 7.5 metres suits your space.

Planning the cable run

With a cable run this long, it helps to decide where it will start and finish before you route it. Allow for the path around obstacles and the position of the connected equipment; a route that looks short on paper can take more cable once it follows the room. Keep the intended connection points in mind, too. HDMI-A male connectors are fitted on both ends, so this is the connector format to match at each device. The title identifies the cable as active optical and HDMI Pro Certified 8K. Those terms make it easier to identify the product you’re looking for, but they don’t replace checking that your own equipment and setup suit the connection you plan to make. If the route is straightforward and the ports match, you can choose by the cable’s stated length and connector type without guessing from appearance alone.
