ACT 70m HDMI High Speed 4K Active Optical Cable w/ Detach

ACT 70m HDMI High Speed 4K Active Optical Cable w/ Detach | Long-reach HDMI for 4K setups

A short HDMI cable works when your equipment is close together; this ACT cable is for a run that needs much more reach. At 70 metres, it’s aimed at installations where the cable has to travel a longer route, rather than simply bridge the gap between nearby devices. The product name identifies it as a High Speed 4K active optical HDMI cable, with a detachable feature. That makes it a specific option to consider when you’re planning a long HDMI connection and want those details stated up front. It’ll suit a carefully planned setup where cable length matters more than keeping the run short. One practical point: 70 metres is a substantial length, so measure the intended route before choosing it. That’s more useful than estimating from the distance between the two ends.

Planning a long cable run

With a cable this long, plan for the route it will actually follow: around furniture, along a wall or through an installation path, as applicable to your setup. Measure that path rather than relying on the straight-line distance between the connection points. The 70m figure gives you the headline length to work with; it doesn’t tell you how your own route will be laid out. The product name also calls out active optical construction and High Speed 4K, so those are the terms to compare if you’re weighing up long HDMI cable options. “w/ Detach” is another part of the name to keep in view when comparing versions. This is a purpose-specific cable, not a short everyday lead. Give the route a little thought before settling on the length.
