ACT USB 3.0 A Male - USB B Male 2.00m

ACT USB 3.0 A Male - USB B Male 2.00m | A direct link between USB A and USB B ports

Without the right lead to hand, connecting two USB ports can turn into a search for a cable with the right ends. This ACT cable has a USB 3.0 A male connector at one end and a USB B male connector at the other, with a length of 2.00m. It suits a setup where the sockets you need to join are USB A and USB B. The useful thing here is the specific connector pairing: you can identify what it connects by checking the ends, rather than relying on a vague description like “USB cable”. It’s best for making that direct wired connection when those are the ports available. One practical point: the USB name alone isn’t enough to pick a cable; the connector shape at each end matters too.

Match the ports before you connect

Look at the two sockets you want to link and compare them with the cable’s plugs. The A male end is for a matching USB A socket; the B male end is for a matching USB B socket. That simple check helps avoid bringing home a cable that has the familiar USB name but the wrong connector on one side. The USB 3.0 designation is part of this cable’s stated format, while the connector labels tell you which physical ends it has.

The 2.00m length gives you a defined cable reach to consider when laying out your setup. Think about where the two connected items will sit and whether the cable can run between them without being stretched across the space. Keep the route in mind when deciding where to place each item. There’s no need to make the choice more complicated than it is: match the A and B ends to the sockets, then make sure the cable can reach between them.
