AstrHori AF 27 mm f/2.8 APS-C Lens For Sony E | A natural view for street and travel

Finding a natural-looking angle for street scenes and travel can be tricky: a very wide view may feel too expansive, while a longer view can make it harder to include your surroundings. The AstrHori AF 27 mm f/2.8 is a fixed-focal-length lens for Sony E-mount APS-C cameras, offering a straightforward perspective for everyday subjects. Its 27 mm focal length suits walking around, cafés, markets and city details without making every frame feel wide. Autofocus helps you keep up with candid moments, so you can focus on where to stand and when to press the shutter. This lens is for photographers who want one consistent viewpoint for time away and daily street photography, rather than the framing options of a zoom. It keeps the setup simple: choose your position, compose, and shoot.

Specialist Note

There’s no zoom here, so you’ll need to move your feet to change the framing. The reason I’d still recommend this lens is that 27 mm on a Sony APS-C body gives a familiar, roughly 40.5 mm-equivalent view: handy for street scenes that include a person and some surroundings. For people moving through a market, try f/2.8 and a shutter speed around 1/250 sec; raise ISO if the light calls for it. It also suits travel details when you want context in the frame. I’d point it toward someone who prefers a simple, natural-looking view over the flexibility of a zoom.
