Falcon Eyes Foldable Octabox FEOB-8 80cm

Falcon Eyes Foldable Octabox FEOB-8 80cm | A foldable 80cm light modifier

The defining decision is a foldable design: the FEOB-8 is an 80cm octabox made to fold away between shoots. That makes it worth considering if you want an octabox without leaving a full-size modifier set up in your workspace. An octabox gives light a broad, eight-sided shape, which can create a more rounded reflection in a subject’s eyes than a rectangular softbox. At 80cm, it offers a clear size reference when you’re planning a portrait or a small subject setup. This is a straightforward option for photographers who already know they want an octabox and value a design that folds. One honest point: 80cm is a particular working size, not a substitute for choosing the modifier size that suits the space and look you need. The title gives us the model name and size; beyond that, we won’t guess at its fittings or what’s included.

In use, the octagonal shape gives you a different reflection and outline from a rectangular softbox, while the 80cm measurement helps you judge how much room the modifier may take up in your setup. As with any softbox, the distance between the light and your subject affects how the light falls, so it’s worth allowing room to position it where you want it. The foldable format is the detail that makes this model easier to put away than a permanently assembled modifier. If you’re choosing between softbox shapes, think about the reflection you want as well as the space you have to work in; those practical details matter more than the name on the front. For a photographer looking specifically for a foldable 80cm octabox, this model keeps the choice simple.
