FeiyuTech Scorp Mini P Handheld Gimbal For Smartphones - White
FeiyuTech Scorp Mini P Handheld Gimbal For Smartphones - White | Keep smartphone filming steadier on the move
Without support, you have to keep your phone steady while following the action. The FeiyuTech Scorp Mini P is a handheld gimbal for smartphones, listed in our monopod category. It suits people who want a handheld way to film, especially at events where a tripod would take up too much room. You can keep moving with the subject rather than needing to set up a tripod in a crowded spot. Monopods are also commonly used for sports and wildlife photography with long lenses, but this product is specifically described as a smartphone gimbal, so I’d look at it for phone filming rather than assume it’s intended for a long-lens camera setup. It’s a practical format when you want support while staying mobile. If you’re after a fixed viewpoint for a long, unattended recording, a tripod is the better fit.
Specialist Note
“Can I use the Scorp Mini P when there’s no room for a tripod?” Yes—that’s the sort of situation its handheld format suits. It’s described as a smartphone gimbal, so think of it as support for filming with your phone while you stay with the action, not as a stand for a locked-off shot. For fast sports, if your phone lets you set shutter speed, try around 1/1000 sec to help freeze movement; the gimbal addresses your own handheld movement, while that shutter setting addresses the subject. I’d consider it for following activity at a busy event. The trade-off is that you need to keep holding and guiding it; it won’t give you a fixed, unattended viewpoint.
