Filmsticks 4 X Non-Permanent Marker Pen

Filmsticks 4 X Non-Permanent Marker Pen: Write clear slate notes and board labels

For slate notes that are easy to read between takes, the Filmsticks 4 X Non-Permanent Marker Pen set supplies four markers for Filmsticks clapperboards and whiteboards. Their non-permanent ink also writes clearly on acrylic and other white surfaces, making them useful for studio boards, classroom notes and office whiteboards. What sets this set apart is its replaceable design: when the ink runs out, you can replace the cartridge rather than discard the whole marker, and the chisel-shaped tip is replaceable too. That gives the pens a longer working life than a disposable marker. The ink is oil-based and contains 60% ethanol; it’s free of xylene and toluene. For a camera crew, that means the slate and the board used to track a shoot can both be marked with the same set. You get four markers in one pack.

Marker Features

• Four-marker set: The pack contains four non-permanent markers, handy when a crew needs more than one marker at the slate or around the studio. Keep a set together for board work.
• Replaceable ink cartridges: The ink supply can be renewed by changing the cartridge. You can keep using the marker body instead of throwing it away when its ink is spent.
• Replaceable chisel tips: The nib has a chisel shape and can be replaced as it wears. That extends the usable life of the marker, rather than making a worn tip the reason to replace the whole pen.
• Non-permanent ink: The markers are intended for non-permanent writing on Filmsticks clapperboards and whiteboards. That makes them suited to slate and board notes that aren’t meant to be permanent markings.
• Writes on acrylic and white surfaces: The ink is described as clear and precise on these surfaces. This covers acrylic clapperboards as well as white boards used in studios, classrooms or offices.
• Oil-based ink formulation: The ink is oil-based and contains 60% ethanol, with no xylene or toluene. This is a specific formulation detail worth knowing when choosing markers for shared work areas.

Good to know

Each marker measures 22 × 136 mm, a slim format for keeping with a slate or in a marker holder. The listed weight is 25 g. These dimensions and weight are useful reference points when you’re fitting the set into an existing studio kit. The markers are made from polypropylene, and the replaceable cartridge and tip mean the marker has serviceable parts rather than being entirely disposable.
