Formatt Hitech 52mm Front Screw Adaptor For 85mm Holder
Formatt Hitech 52mm Front Screw Adaptor For 85mm Holder | Connect a 52mm front thread to an 85mm holder
When your filter setup needs to join a 52mm front screw fitting to an 85mm holder, this is the connection piece for the job. The Formatt Hitech 52mm Front Screw Adaptor is for photographers who already use an 85mm holder and want to attach it at a 52mm front connection. Its role is specific: it links the fitting and holder so you can keep working with that holder in your setup. It isn’t a filter, so it won’t create a filtration effect on its own; you’ll need the holder and the filter you want to use as well. This adaptor makes most sense when you want to build around the 85mm holder you have, rather than find another way to join it to a 52mm front screw fitting. Once connected, choose a filter to suit the scene you’re photographing.
Specialist Note
This adaptor gives a 52mm front screw fitting a direct connection to an 85mm holder. I’d suggest it to someone who already has that holder and wants to keep their filter setup working with a 52mm front connection. The 52mm size tells you which front fitting this adaptor is made for; the 85mm figure identifies the holder it’s intended to join. For a landscape with a bright sky, for example, fit the adaptor and holder at that connection, then use the filter you need to manage the sky. One point to keep in mind: the adaptor makes the connection, but it doesn’t provide filtration by itself.
